Bit more Maya

The poisonous coral snake minion, that will be riding the pelican, in a very unsnakey pose. Not to be confused with the harmless king/milk snake. You can tell by the arrangement of their stripes.

The pole supporting Melvin's house that Hooded Figure is trying to saw through.

Melvin's all important fountain pen.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...

Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb.

Some textured Maya stuff (more on the way)

Inside the robot baddie.

Hooded figure with its big saw.

Watched quite a few films over the last couple of days. Guns of Navarone is really really good.

Watched Taken with Qui-Gon Jinn, Shannon and Jean Grey, well they were in it. It was quite good although it didn't seem very long and Liam Neeson was so badass the baddies didn't really present any sort of challenge so when there wasn't a twist at the end it all seemed a bit pointless. There seemed to be some kind of anti-immigrant theme poking through but I couldn't tell if it was intentional or not.

Watched Inglorious Basterds again with my Dad, he wasn't in it. Possibly my favourite film of last year, glad I saw it in the cinema. Christoph Waltz's character was amazing. Haha if you're reading this, why? It's shit.

Nina Wadia

Fitty and quite a good actress today.

Fucking about watching Muppets Treasure Island and Muppets Wizard of Oz

Love Gerry Anderson stuff, especially Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

It'sa me...

I like Jim Croce a lot. I guess he looks a bit like Mario. I had a go at the old school Mario design to see if I could pick up anything about simple but successful character design. I didn't really pay attention while I was doing it though so I'll have to go back and have a look later on. Here's hoping I've picked some things up subconciously haha.
Impressively the design uses only 3 colours: red, yellow and shitty. Despite only 3 colours being used over 143 (I think) pixels on a 16x12 grid we can still distinguish Mario's face, hat, hair, eyes, moustache, shirt, dungarees, hands, buttons and shoes. Clever stuff.
I've never really been a fan of Mario. Probably because we've never had a Nintendo home console. My Mum's got a Wii on the way though. Wario is cool. I prefer Crash Bandicoot :)

The first thing I did in the 2010s. Who knows what I'll be in 2020.
